Finally replaced my GPS over the weekend. For the inaugural use I stuck it in my pocket while I mowed the lawn yesterday.
7.21 miles. Most of the distance was riding but a good 50% of the time was on foot.
The raw data can be found here.

Didn't get lost either, since you can backtrack to get home.
I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed that I'm falling short of the tractor's advertised top speed of 8 mph.
You should google lawn tractor supercharging. I'm sure you'll find something that will help. Maybe just to to headers and straight pipes.
Now you cantake GPS tagged soil samples, test, and fertilize just like the agribusiness farms.
I think you should mount your camera and do a time lapse mow.
Don't you think that if I had a camera that was able to do time lapse photography without my constant input that would have already been done by now?
One of these days...
but you can do the shoot every ten seconds thing, right?
On my SLR I'd have to do it manually.
So stop every ten seconds and take a picture. Then see how long it takes to mow.
That's a great idea, maybe you would like to take the initiative and do it yourself next time you're here.
I'd much rather loan you my little Hero camera.
That would work.
